All pets need a loving home.

Most pets need a good home. Getting a pet of any kind is serious because they are going to be your responsibility. You need to seriously consider first that they will
be a part of your loving family for a long time.
You guessed right I went to Craigslist just to check it out. Than I checked out their categories for the word "Pet" in the city of Chicago. Yes I came across not the street but people needing to get rid of their unconditional loving pet. This
person who wrote the request to find their pet a new home. Said, "I am going to have
a baby in 9 months and the dog takes up to much of my time,"
Now the dog went in for training but apparently it didn't work out. The dog still needs to be walked on a regular basis and fed. Well you guessed right again the dog needed a new home.

From the voice of experience this happen to me when I gave away for free one of my
dogs puppies. You guessed right again. One year after giving them the puppy they
returned him telling me he was an unruly dog and they couldn't control him.
In others words he also wasn't potty trained .
That's funny it took them a year to find that out. I also found they didn't let the dog outside to go potty. They didn't feed nor give him water either.
how did I find out all this information? My daughter babysat for them and told me about how they treated him. I would send her over with dog food and tell her to give him water.

I asked my neighbor first about this family who knew them. She told me that because she was a nurse that he would be good hands. Never judge a person by their occupation because their a different person when their at home. Let just say they wouldn't win a popularity contest in their taking care of JT. Because they were not letting him outside to go potty on a regular basis. Nor did they feed him or give him water. He had to fin for himself by going into the bathroom and getting a drink out of the toilet which she thought was funny.

My conscious was bothering me more because of knowing how they were treating him. I felt guilty of neglecting his welfare. But I did tell them to bring the dog back if they were not going to keep him. They eventual bought him to our house and told me he wasn't a good dog. I didn't argue with them it wouldn't have done me much good.
It took JT not long to adjust to his new home. He steady under the table at first but I told everyone just leave him be and he will come out when he feels safe.
Well he turned out to be the best and most loving dog that I ever had. His mother and grandmother were both living with me and they were glad we had him. They all got along.

Their son would at first come over to visit until he was sure JT was OK. Than he stopped after a while. Sometimes its harder on the children because its usually the parents that make the decision to get rid of the pet.

It was a year later when they came back over to ask for JT. They wanted him back but that wouldn't have been good idea for JT. I think he would have been worse off back into that same mean environment. I told them no because JT was one of the best dogs we every had. God knows he didn't need to go back there.
At the time we had three dogs. I felt blessed having all of them in my home.
There is no such thing as a bad pet just bad owners.
Just make sure when you make that decision to have a pet. That pet is part of your loving family forever. Best!

I recommend watching the Dog Whisperer on the National Geographic channel for further
information on how to care and train your new pet.
Here is one of Cesar Millan quotes from his website.

My fulfillment formula consists of three parts: Exercise, Discipline, and Affection, in that order. A dog must be exercised. In actress and comedienne Kathy Griffin’s case, Chance and Pom Pom weren’t getting the exercise they need. Of course, they have a yard and a hill they can run up and down, but that is not exercise. I found out that she has a wonderful exercise room that her dogs can use too! So while Kathy works out, her dogs run alongside her on the treadmill. And when she’s out of town, her assistants help her maintain this exercise and discipline routine her dogs need. As far as dogs go, a balanced life is the best award they can get!
